It is about power and control for the few, at the expense of everyone else. This is what Australia has become. A socialist state. Everything you do is tracked. Everything you own is regulated and taxed. Your fuel, every product you buy, your food, your car, everything has it’s own tax attached to it. And then to add insult to injury, you have to fork out up to 52% in income tax.
And what do we get out of this exchange? Infrastructure, healthcare, and welfare among other things.
But infrastructure is controlled at the top by the government, and in many instances, the actual construction work is tendered to private companies, but what the people don’t know is that the prices for these projects are astronomical compared to the products that it produces. If a house costs $400,000 to build, then why would a bridge cost $50,000,000? Every company that does work for the government knows that the government has endless pockets, because its pockets are full of money taken from the taxpayer and money that they print out of thin air.
Healthcare is the same, they work nurses and doctors to death, and buy exuberantly high priced drugs and equipment, because government public health is not competitive. But then the average person thinks our healthcare is better than America’s private healthcare because its cheaper. This is a misnomer, as actually its incredibly expensive. We all pay an insurance to use this healthcare through our taxes. And it is definitely not free and not cheap.
And welfare is the worst of the lot. People are milking the system. Everyone knows a dole bludger, and probably everyone has at some point considered being a dole bludger but pushed the idea away because they felt guilty. Yet many people don’t care. They are happy that you pay for them to do nothing. Again, another system that actually costs you personally a ridiculous amount of money, but it’s hidden from you because you pay for it in your taxes.
All of these things deserve their own articles. But there is one thing which we can easily see from all of these destructive control mechanisms, and that’s that there is clearly someone profiting from all of this, and many thousands upon thousands of people suffering. We are the people. We are the change. Just because its not popular to talk about these things doesn’t mean you should stay quiet. They can’t ever truly control you.
