Government regulation of AI is the road to total destruction. I've wrote in many articles now that the regulation of AI will simply lead to the government, global corporations, and criminals being the only ones to have access to the most advanced AI and not the people.
The eventual outcome of total regulation of AI will lead to civilisational tyranny across the entire world. AI is the most powerful tool ever invented. It is, or at least will be soon, more powerful than nuclear warfare. There will eventually be, if future regulation continues, only a handful of organisations, governments and criminals who will hold the reigns over the out-competed masses. People need to have the tools to compete with governments, corporations and criminals.
We can make ourselves feel better about regulation and just say 'oh but AI doesn't have that spark or that vibe etc' or 'oh but AI is taking away jobs from my industry' but that is going to happen anyway even with government regulation no matter what the government says. The technology has already been made. None of these arguments match up with the reality of consumption and competition. And a generation growing up with AI will not have such noble ideas. Therefore the people need to control the AI or the government will.
And when the government regulates anything it is always to benefit the government. The government will not make a regulation that harms themselves. They will not exclude themselves from their own insatiable hunger for power and control.
If you had someone who writes 1 or two documents a day, AI could do 1,000,000.
If you have someone who paints 1 piece a week, AI would have done 7,000,000.
If you have someone who calculates things, AI will do it 1,000,000 times better.
If you have someone who codes, AI will eventually do it 1,000,000 times better.
People operating in the field of work they have a passion for, like me and my writing, are obviously annoyed with AI being used in that field. For instance, I don't use AI for text in any of my articles or books, and I do get irritated when I see people falling for different peoples AI slop articles online. But I'd rather the average person generate those articles than only the government, their corporations, and criminals.
But that's just the AI that we see the most of. What about the real powerhouse uses for AI? What about world spanning AI control systems? AI systems that run the back end of some immense digital network. Or AI that runs entire sections of infrastructure. There are so many unbelievably powerful uses for AI. AI that controls and manages businesses. AI that controls and manages the movement of people. Do we want the government having a total monopoly on that?
The end result is eventually government AI would control the population to such an extent that enslavement could very well be inevitable because the people couldn't compete in anything at all.
What I'm writing about here is what could happen in the future. Because whats happening now is just the first step down this road. Government doesn't repeal regulations if it doesn't have to. They only want more. More power. More control. They'll regulate just a little bit, then next year a little more. Then the year after that a little more again. This will spiral out of control very badly.
Ladies and gentlemen, what we are now witnessing could very well be the beginning of the end times. The start of the devolution. Imagine if there was one global government with full control of all AI? Imagine what that world would look like?
If this happens you're about to be out competed in everything you do on a scale once thought unimaginable. We've gotta wake up and realise that wanting AI regulation because we don't like AI is just placing control of it into the hands of people who want to control us.
The solution to this problem is for everyone to be against AI regulation and prioritise keeping this powerful technology in the hands of the people and stop it from being exclusively in the hands of the government, corporations, and criminals in order to stop them from having a cataclysmically unfair advantage.
