Naarm is safe now.

Naarm is safe now.

September 2045 – Naarm is safe now.

The last protest against the mandated climate lockdowns have just ended with the peaceful use of direct heat dispersal units.

Thankfully I no longer have to listen to the protesters going on about how SmartVic is bad or whatever now.

I don’t know what their problem with SmartVic was anyway, it’s a pretty good initiative, and we’re even let out of our apartments between 5pm and 7pm, that’s more than enough free time.

I remember when we only had one hour of outside time. So what are they complaining about?

I find it so selfish. The climate is literally dying around us. 80% of Victorian forests have burnt to the ground. Why would you want more climate destruction just because of “freedom” or whatever.

I saw on my VR the other day that literally just outside of Naarm there are tsunami’s and earthquakes. Place looks like a warzone.

Thankfully we have the freedom to access any information we want through our AusGov VR, otherwise I would have never guessed the climate looked like that just outside Naarm. Especially because my windows are blacked out to help reduce carbon emissions.

The protesters say that the world doesn’t actually look like that though.

Typical climate denier stuff.

Like, how would they know it doesn’t look like that if you’ve never been let outside of the city? Checkmate climate deniers.

But anyway, I’m glad that’s the end of them. Now we can finally live in peace.

Alex James.
