Nigel Farage’s party, Reform UK, has just surpassed the conservative party in opinion polling. The UK has now reached a political tipping point, much like France and Germany.
And all these voters of the new Europe have one thing to say to the establishment.
“We’ve had enough”.
So lets get a better understanding of Nigel Farage.
I can’t write an article on Nigel Farage without first mentioning his debates with European parliamentarians. For years I have always returned to those videos to watch him annihilate the unelected eurocrats over and over again. His handling, and essentially, carrying, of the Brexit deal was also incredibly impressive.
No one thought the UK would ever leave the European Union, but Nigel Farage can forever say that he made his dream a reality.
But to understand how he got to this stage, we have to go back a bit. Nigel was launched into politics shortly after leaving the Conservative Party in 1992 in protest against the signing of the Maastricht Treaty. He then joined the UK Independence Party (UKIP), which was a small fringe group at the time.
Farage than ran unsuccessfully for parliament in the Eastleigh by-election in 1994. He was elected as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Southeast England in 1999 and continued to serve in that role until 2020. He became leader of UKIP in 2006, after which the party gained significant ground, becoming the third largest party in the UK in terms of votes at the 2015 general election.
Nigel Farage is a very talented speaker and debater. I would even say, the most talented of our time when it comes to politics. He has a particular style of speaking which incorporates wittiness with courageous aggression, which makes him very easy to listen to, so long as you align with his views of course.
During the US elections he was also highly supportive of Trump, sometimes directly by giving emotionally charged speeches.
But now Farage is on the war path, and is highly torn between campaigning alongside trump to help him get elected, or campaigning in the UK for his party.
“The penny is beginning to drop on mass migration”
Nigel is one of the many “far right” leaders in Europe at the moment who have thrown their hat in the ring when it comes to condemning mass migration.
In Sweden alone, immigrants account for more than half of all rape cases. In Germany, several politicians have been attacked by radicalized jihadi’s, and all over Europe major cities have become essentially third world countries, such as Paris.
The rise in crime and the realization that Europeans are being replaced in their own homeland has finally created an influx of “far right” politicians and leaders seeking to end mass migration. But whether they will follow through or not is still up for debate.
“The conservatives and labor have failed us all”
Although Nigel is largely talking about the major parties, this also hammers home another point, that modern conservatives are pathetic losers.
Modern conservatives are very soft, and ten years ago, they were the chew toy of the left. It took the “far right” to shake them up a bit before they were willing to step out of their comfort zone. But still Britain is plagued by soft conservative men who run away from any difficult topic.
However, this is all starting to change. A new movement grows in Europe as the people grow more and more fed up with the status quo.
Le Pen, Nigel Farage, Geert Wilders, and the not so useful Meloni are clearly the heads of the European resistance movement against the establishment which looks to replace the people. Sometimes lacking, and sometimes excelling.
In the case of Nigel Farage, whenever he is thrown in the deep end, he excels. He has a natural talent for debate. And because of his skill, the UK may be a completely different place after the general elections.
However, there are still many people who openly criticize the current “far right” and its major leaders. arguing that they are puppets, that they’re controlled opposition. But without many other options, only time will tell what happens.
